My daily routine involves collaborating with colleagues from various
departments, streamlining processes through automation, presenting
regular updates to the board regarding the company’s status, and
driving system enhancements. Always remembering the importance of
data validation. Yet, for me, fostering a positive work environment is
equally, if not more, vital. It greatly enhances our enthusiasm and
commitment to our daily tasks.

Between code
and stakeholders

Effective communication is paramount in the role of an analyst. After preparing a report, conveying the findings to the pertinent stakeholders is crucial. In my role, I had responsibilities such as communicating the market status of our bond holdings,

assessing risk measures for our investments, and daily reporting of financial results to our headquarters in Spain. As time passed, I also had the privilege of presenting bond-related information at the monthly board meetings.

Make it
easier

At work, I’ve utilized a toolbox including VBA, Python, SQL, Excel, and Power BI. My consistent goal has been to optimize workflows, freeing up more time for analysis. Instead of manual navigation through pages, I’ve designed code to do the heavy lifting. This effort has streamlined

numerous processes, yielding an average daily time savings of 20%. For instance, automating web scraping for current bond quotes and automatic comparison with previous day’s data eliminates preparation time, enabling analysts to dive right into their work.
